Steve Irwin’s Widowed Wife Terri Hasn’t ‘Been On A Single Date’ Since Her Husband Died Nearly A Decade Ago

We can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 years since Steve Irwin was tragically killed by a stingray back in September of 2006.

In the September issue of Australian Woman’s Weekly, the Crocodile Hunter’s widow Terri Irwin opens up about moving on after the death of the father of her two children, Bindi and Robert.

The 52-year-old shares:

“I haven’t been on a single date since Steve died.”

But just because she isn’t dating, doesn’t mean she thinks it’s wrong — Miz Irwin explains she’s simply enjoying life raising her kiddos and keeping her late husband’s legacy alive through the Australia Zoo.

The lover of wildlife reminisces on her whirlwind romance with the television personality in the early ’90s:

“If I hadn’t met Steve, I probably would never have married because I wasn’t looking for love when I met him. What we had was incredible.”

Understandably, it took some time for Terri for come to terms with Steve’s passing. She admits to keeping all of his belongings (even his toothbrush) and refusing to cut her hair since her husband loved it long.

It wasn’t even until a couple of years ago that the beauty was able to remodel the family home — except for Steve’s office — near the Zoo in order to accommodate for her growing children.

We can’t even begin to imagine the grief the Irwin’s have endured — but what an amazing job the entire clan is doing at keeping the spirit of Steve alive and well!
