Ed Sheeran Sued For Stealing Thinking Out Loud From Marvin Gaye — Listen To Both & Decide For Yourself HERE!

For thinking crying out loud!

Believe it or not, Marvin Gaye has already been dead for more than 32 years.. but you’d never be able to tell based on how actively his music is involved in copyright lawsuits!

While Pharrell and Robin Thicke were forced to pay millions to Marvin’s estate for stealing Blurred Lines, songwriter Ed Townsend‘s family is now looking to cash in with a suit of their own…

Only this time it’s against Ed Sheeran!!!

Apparently, Ed T. co-wrote Let’s Get It On way back in 1973, and his family now believes Ed S. copied basically every aspect of it for his 2014 track Thinking Out Loud.

In a new lawsuit filed by Townsend’s heirs, Teddy and his writing team allegedly copied the “heart” of the Marvin classic, with the suit claiming:

“The Defendants copied the ‘heart’ of Let’s and repeated it continuously throughout Thinking. The melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic compositions of Thinking are substantially and/or strikingly similar to the drum composition of Let’s.”

So… how long until Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth get sued for literally using his name in their song??

Sheeran has yet to comment on the similarities, but based on past track record, he’ll probably be seeing this one all the way to court.

Ch-ch-check out both songs and decide for yourself (below)!!!

We kind of hear it… but if Blurred Lines was ruled a rip-off of Got To Give It Up over just having the same rhythm, then these two are practically identical!

Good luck winning this one, Ed!
