Johnny Depp‘s lawyers are more than ready to take on Amber Heard‘s legal team!

As we previously reported, the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s attorneys have collected TWENTY witnesses who are ready to testify on behalf of the A-lister in his divorce drama against Miz Heard. However, it seems Depp’s lawyers’ main strategy is to paint the 30-year-old as a liar.

How do we know this? Well, it’s said the legal team plans to have Johnny testify about how The Rum Diary starlet straight up lied during her “dog smuggling” trial earlier this year. Whoa.

Reportedly, several documents from Amber’s April trial in Queensland will be submitted during the twosome’s (now postponed) hearing. As you surely know, Depp and Heard are slated to go head to head over the restraining order and abuse claims the blonde beauty has placed on the 53-year-old.

From the get-go, Johnny’s legal experts have painted the Magic Mike XXL actress’ claims of abuse as an attempt to get money from the actor turned rocker. So it’s no wonder Johnny is planning to tell the court Amber lied about not knowing it was illegal to bring their dogs into Australia. In case you forgot, the up-and-comer was offered a good behavior bond with no conviction for pleading guilty over smuggling her pups into the country/continent.

It’ll certainly be inneresting to see how this strategy plays out in court. Stay tuned!
