Ellen DeGeneres & Blake Shelton Both Stepped Into Controversy On Twitter — But They Aren’t The Only Celebs To Get In Trouble For Tweeting!

Ellen DeGeneres and Blake Shelton both got heat this week for their Twitter antics — though the cases couldn’t be more different.

On Monday, Ellen got some backlash after sharing a photoshopped image of herself riding Olympics track star Usain Bolt — which some critics felt had racial undertones and was trivializing the accomplishments of black athletes.

Many fans, including Bolt himself, disagreed with the social justice warriors and defended the daytime host’s lighthearted joke, but things didn’t go over as smoothly for Shelton.

Over the weekend, the country crooner came under fire after social media users dug up his old tweets — several of which were pretty blatantly homophobic or racist — giving a whole new meaning to the title of his newest album If I’m Honest (honestly, we don’t want you to be honest now)!

But these TV titans aren’t the first celebs to get heat for their Twitter behavior — see who else should start thinking before they tweet (below)!
