Usain Bolt Smiled & Wagged A Finger At Andre De Grasse After Their 200-Meter Semifinal Photo Finish — But Is The Sprinter Actually PISSED?!

no title

On Wednesday night, Usain Bolt, who owns the world record in the 200 meter, looked to win his semifinal heat for the event and automatically qualify for the finals.

But he ran into a snag when Canada’s Andre De Grasse decided to turn up the heat at the end!

As Andre crept up on the legendary Olympian, Usain used everything he had left to stay ahead of the 21-year-old and win with a time of 19.78 — just TWO HUNDREDTHS of a second ahead of De Grasse.

Not only was the finish EPIC, but the Jamaican gave the world a HIGHlarious moment when he turned to the second place runner and gave him a smile and finger wag immediately after crossing the finish — even though both men qualified for the final!

Viewers loved the idea of the seemingly budding bromance, and Bolt even jokingly told NBC and BBC that “De Grasse was supposed to slow down at the end”, it seems that’s not how he REALLY felt!

Despite the smile on Bolt’s face, he apparently wasn’t very happy about the last minute kick FOR REAL.

NBC Olympics reports that a local TV cut to the 29-year-old mid-sentence during a Brazilian interview as he told the reporter that “it was not cool” it regards to his competitor speeding up at the end. Uhm, isn’t it a race?!

After abruptly leaving after making his statement, the sprinter came back moments later and continued to appear bothered by something as he told the interviewer:

“Just ask your question… I don’t have time to watch the race.”

Seeing that something was clearly upsetting the gold medalist, the reporter asked about the finish to which Bolt said:

“There was no reason to run that fast.”

Again, isn’t it a race? You know, where the WHOLE POINT is to go fast AND WIN?!

Usain is easily one of the most exciting athletes to watch at the Olympics this year and he always seems to come across as cheery and fun so we hope he isn’t too upset over a little extra competition. It’s not like he’s ENTITLED to win.

Maybe at that point he was just tired or upset over something else!

Ch-ch-check out the semifinal finish (below) to see all the finger wagging goodness and don’t forget to catch the 200 meter finale Thursday night as Bolt will face off against Andre for gold!

What do U think of Bolt being miffed at the Canadian sprinter?’
