This is absolutely awful!

A Florida woman by the name of Tamara Daniels is facing charges of child neglect after authorities found her two children and 24 Chihuahuas living in her home — which was piled with trash, dog feces, and all kids of bugs!

Officers involved in the case said the two children were not enrolled in school and — even more upsetting — had dog poop “caked” to the bottoms of their bare feet. YIKES!

As a result of the investigation, the Department of Children and Families removed the kids from the home.

The 24 dogs are now in the care of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Associate director Angie Frears addressed the case, saying:

“We gladly pulled them to safety and from what we’ve heard about the home they were in, there’s nowhere to go but up! The conditions they endured breaks our hearts and makes us work even harder to make sure they know nothing but love and safety and security all the rest of their days on earth.”

Apparently the conditions were so disgusting Daniels even knew what was coming. She told investigators when they entered her home:

“I know it’s bad. Please don’t take me to jail.”

Tamara is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail on $4,000 bond and will have an arraignment on October 6 at the Titusville Historic Courthouse.

As for the pups, if you care to donate to help the cute pups out, you can check out the YouCaring page that was set up HERE!
