Shortly after an agreement was made between Depp and Heard regarding their split, the blonde beauty announced that she would be donating her $7 million settlement to charity that would be evenly split between the American Civil Liberties Union├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣ and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

While sometimes it takes a bit for money to come through on things like this, Johnny has already sent his first installment checks to the charities DIRECTLY!

By Wednesday, TMZ had learned that both the ACLU and the Children’s hospital had received checks from the 53-year-old on behalf of his ex!

A rep for the famed actor released a statement regarding the charitable donations saying:

“Following Amber Heard’s announcement that her divorce settlement was to be divided equally and gifted to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union, two exceptionally deserving and important charities, Johnny Depp has sent the first of multiple installments of those monies to each charity in the name of Amber Heard, which when completed will honor the full amount of Ms. Heard’s pledge.”

Mr. Depp’s rep continued by adding:

“Ms. Heard’s generosity in giving to these wonderful causes is deeply respected.”

While we don’t know the exact reason why the Hollywood Vampires guitarist wanted to send the check himself, we’re just happy this whole thing is getting wrapped up sooner rather than later!

What do you think of Johnny personally sending the money?!
