Could these be linked?!
If you remember, last week Dr. Drew Pinsky questioned Hillary’s health and called some of her health care decisions “bizarre”.
Well on Thursday, Ken Jautz, HLN’s executive vice president, made the announcement about the axing, saying the network and the doc “have mutually agreed to air the final episode of his show on Sept. 22.”
The statement continued:
“Dr. Drew and his team have delivered more than five years of creative shows and I want to thank them for their hard work and distinctive programming. Their audience-driven shows, in particular, were innovative and memorable TV. And Dr. Drew has been an authoritative voice on addiction and on many other topical issues facing America today.”
All praise, no explanation. Hmm…
Drew also released a statement regarding the announcement:
“It has been a privilege working at HLN. My executive producer Burt Dubrow and our outstanding staff and contributors were consistently exceptional. I am very excited to stay within the CNN Worldwide family as a contributor.”
The celebrity doctor’s recent negative comments towards the democratic candidate weren’t his only words on her health though!
Back in January, Pinsky falsely reported that Hillary had a “flareup of problems from” a “brain injury.” Though the doctor thought he had a “strong source”, he had to apologize for violating HLN and CNN’s editorial standards.
The cancelation is even more surprising because it comes just a few months after the 57-year-old left his duties on Love Line after 32 years!
Do you think Dr. Drew’s show was cancelled because of his comments about Clinton’s health?!
Make sure you tune in to HLN for On Call‘s final show!
