Not all exes can stay friends.
While Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert initially seemed like they could keep their friendship alive amid their divorce, they apparently want nothing to do with each other now, over a year after their big breakup.
A source spilled to Us Weekly that the former flames didn’t cross paths ONCE during the ACM Honors on Tuesday, saying:
“Miranda was backstage during Blake’s performance and vice versa.”
The awards were held at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where the seating is set up in such a way that almost an entire row of people would have to get up just to let one person pass.
And even though the exes didn’t explicitly ask to be seated apart, the insider explained that it was understood that they didn’t want to see each other, adding:
“Blake and Miranda didn’t request to be far away from each other, but they never interacted. Everyone at the ACMs knew they wouldn’t want to cross paths.”
In fact, another confidante confessed that Blake “did not have an audience seat at all.”
Hmmmm. Did Gwen Stefani‘s beau not want to risk getting assigned a seat near his ex-wife?!
We’re bummed that the country crooners aren’t friends anymore, but we understand that they need to do what’s going to make them happiest.
