Chris Brown Blames Recent Arrest On Deputy District Attorney Who Prosecuted Him During The Rihanna Assault Case — Wait, What?

chris brown blames district da arrest

Chris Brown is blaming ONE person for his recent arrest — and it’s not the woman who accused the Loyal singer of threatening her with a gun!

As you probably know by now, C.Breezy was booked on Tuesday for assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly threatened Baylee Curran with a firearm. While Brown has since claimed his innocence in this particular case, it appears he’s blaming the deputy district attorney for this recent legal drama. Huh?

In case you forgot, D.A. Mary Murray was the attorney who prosecuted Chris during the Rihanna assault case back in the day. According to TMZ, the 27-year-old and his team believe Miz Murray let her contentious history with Chris influence her opinion on whether the controversial celeb should be arrested.

In fact, Brown believes Murray is trying to settle a score as they’ve faced off in court several times — specifically Mary has requested jail time for the A-lister many times during probation hearings and has often lost to the father-of-one’s high priced attorneys. Eek!

Not to mention, sources have indicated that on the day the No Air singer allegedly pulled a gun on Curran, the cops decided not to arrest him on the spot and started an investigation instead. Also, Chris was spotted getting pretty chummy with a couple of police officers when he finally came out of his home. The theory: if the police didn’t think it necessary to book Chris right away, some with more power must’ve been calling the shots. Again, only a theory.

The hitmaker also believes the decision to have him arrested is Mary’s way of punishing him for lashing out at her in the past. As you may recall, Chris previously accused the state’s lawyer of being racist after she had a good portion of his community service hours thrown out. TBH, this hypothesis isn’t the craziest thing we’ve heard, especially since several witnesses have disputed the victim’s story and the victim in question also has a serious credibility problem.

What do YOU think? Is Chris grasping at straws?
