People are MAD, and tensions only seem as though they may escalate this weekend.
Brock Turner‘s parents are reportedly concerned for their son’s safety, going so far as to reach out to their local police department and ask for help in dealing with protesters and others who could harm the convicted rapist.
Turner, who was sentenced to an absurdly lenient prison term after being convicted of raping a woman at a Stanford University party, is now back home after walking out of jail this week.
Now, cops in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio, are tracking social media to monitor threats, and keeping an extra close eye on the Turner house, as local residents are understandably angry that a convicted rapist is among them.
Protesters are expected throughout the weekend at Turner’s parents’ house, but cops are just hoping to keep things calm enough where nobody is physically hurt.
As for Turner, he’ll have to register as a sex offender now that he’s out of jail — and while nobody sensible is advocating violence towards anybody, we definitely don’t feel sorry for the convicted rapist, either.
