See, even celebs have basic relationship problems!
According to Perry, Orlando’s home base in Malibu is a bit of sore spot between the two, considering since she lives inland.
For those not in the know, it could take HOURS to commute from the city to the scenic locale. Imagine having to combat major traffic jams just for some Netflix and chill time!
Elaborating on her relatable dilemma, the singer complained:
“My boyfriend lives in Malibu and getting used to that [drive] was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?’ There’s no pop-over and I never really got used to Malibu ├óΓé¼╦£cause it’s halfway to Santa Barbara, so I’m always just going to Santa Barbara then. I get the whole coming to L.A. and living by the beach thing. But it’s really like, it’s so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you.”
YAAASSS. We think anyone who has suffered through LA traffic can empathize with K.P.!
As for the beauty’s reference to Santa Barbara, that’s where she grew up. At least Bloom’s pad is close to her family — that’s a pretty convenient aspect!
In fact, the two even visited Katy’s hometown at one point:
“I still spend a lot of time there because I grew up there. I grew up in the poorest part of Santa Barbara… Actually my boyfriend didn’t even believe me and I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£I’m going to drive you by my house’ and you can Google Earth it. I basically had a crazy church-filled, God squad upbringing. I lived on food stamps and food bank in Santa Barbara, which is like a crazy juxtaposition to live in beauty and still have a bit of a struggle, but that’s just because of the nature of the church.”
Wow. It’s crazy to think how far the star has come… we’re glad the actor was able to witness her humble beginnings!
So, can YOU relate to Katy?
