To think, we used to have to fill our Summers with Bachelor Pad instead…

It’s no secret we already thought Bachelor in Paradise perfected the reality TV dating formula this season… but after Tuesday night’s finale, we officially know it for sure!

That’s because after enduring 30 contestants over the course of 11 short episodes, four couples managed to make it to finale night ready to propose.

However, in a somewhat anticlimactic twist… only THREE of the four couples actually ended up engaged!

Let’s start with the good:

Grant Kemp and Lace Morris!!!

The 27-year-old firefighter and 25-year-old real estate agent had been together since practically night one, but a case of cold feet from Grant almost cost them their happily ever after!

Luckily, their matching #Grace tattoos seemed to be enough to calm his nerves — so the cutest couple on the island did get their happy ending after all!!

Not to be outdone…

Evan Bass and Carly Waddell!!!

Sure, she pretty much hated his guts from the moment they met — AND she’s still never met his kids — but something about this pair just works.

We’re glad they think so too, otherwise the 30- and 33-year-olds from Nashville’s current engagement sure would be awkward!

And last but not least…

Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton!!!

This one was a bit of a let down since the 31-year-old and 26-year-old had already told the world they’d moved in together… but we’re happy if they’re happy.

Although — once again — if Chris Harrison could fly Josh’s mom down to meet Amanda, why couldn’t her daughters get the same treatment?!

Regardless, that means the couple that unfortunately was not able to weather paradise was…

Nick Viall and Jennifer Saviano!!!

Well, ABC kind of spoiled this one by announcing Nick as the next Bachelor ahead of the finale… but it was still hard to watch Jen get let down last minute.

Nick didn’t really explain WHY he couldn’t return Jen’s affections, but we’re guessing after producers told him he could be the next Bachelor, he opted for what’s behind door number 4.

Although, maybe that just guarantees Jennifer a spot on the island for Bachelor in Paradise 4?!
