Despite being one of the most famous quarterbacks in the world, Tom Brady finds time to focus on himself and his lovely family!
As the spokesperson for Ugg‘s “Do Nothing” campaign, the Patriots player is encouraging men everywhere to focus on themselves every now and then.
The A-list athlete explained to People:
“I think it’s important for everybody to find the space for themselves. You always need that. When those airplanes are going down, they say put your mask on first so you can help other people. I think you need to find the oxygen yourself so that you can be the person you want to be. If you’re helping everyone else all the time and you never have time for yourself, you can get worn out pretty quickly.”
Yeah sure, that’s what we need — more straight white men focusing on themselves. WE TEASE!
Anywho, Tom continued:
“Sometimes it’s just five minutes, sometimes for me it’s just a car ride home. You just don’t get as many opportunities, but when you do get them, you make sure that you take advantage. I think it’s just finding the right time and space to take for yourself so you can focus on the things you want to do and accomplish.”
While the NFL star may rarely have a moment to himself, you shouldn’t feel too badly for him as he thoroughly enjoys spending time with his wife Gisele B├â┬╝ndchen. In regards to his ideal date night with his wife, Brady dished:
“I like whatever it is, as long as we’re together. Whether it’s movies or dinner or walks or whatever, our lives are busy. Especially during the football season for me, I don’t get a lot of time, but whenever I do get the time, it’s a precious time for me.”
Awww! Of course we’re glad to hear that Tom and Gisele are still going strong as the duo were rumored to be going through a rough patch last year.
Although it may seem like the 39-year-old has spread himself a little thin, he couldn’t be more dedicated to his career. On the topic of retirement, Tom noted:
“I love playing football. I love preparing for it and thinking about it. I’ve been that way since I’ve been three years old, so it’s hard to imagine not doing it. Although I know it will happen at some point, I’m not ready for that any time soon.”
Phew, we’re not sure what New England sports fans would if Brady unexpectedly retired. HA!
