As we previously reported, the U.S. Olympic Committee officially suspended Ryan for 10 months on Wednesday. The punishment — which some members of the committee felt was too harsh — was handed down about a month after Lochte lied about a robbery in Rio.
While initial reports suggested Ryan could still swim under the suspension, TMZ is now alleging the scandalized athlete will NOT be allowed to compete in any meets for the duration of his sentence — including the pivotal National Championships, which could jeopardize his chance at the 2020 Summer Olympics!
Well, we guess this is what you get for causing an international scandal for no reason. Oof.
But that’s not all… No, to make matters even worse for the 32-year-old, he’s no longer allowed to visit the White House with the rest of the Team USA Olympians AND he must return the money he earned for winning a gold medal at the Games. Plus, the clueless athlete will also have to perform 20-hours of community service.
So, do U think Ryan’s punishment is fair?
