Did The Walking Dead Producer Slip Up And Reveal A MAJOR Season Premiere Spoiler??

no title

If you watched The Walking Dead‘s frustrating season six finale and NEED know who Negan killed — we might have another clue thanks to some eagle-eyed fans!

As you know, last season ended with Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s Negan about to beat the one of the major characters to death. Sure, we’ve had clues about who might survive, but it could still be just about anyone!

Or any two??

Earlier this week, TWD producer Greg Nicotero spoke with EW in what seemed to be another puff piece defending the finale — but he may have given away a BIG spoiler!

When Greg was talking about who Negan killed, he said:

“But I’d say in retrospect, I don’t think we would have changed anything. I would have still supported doing it the way that we did it, because of the fact that the story doesn’t end there. If we would have shown the deaths, then they wouldn’t have felt our characters in season 7 the way they need to. And the thing that I think a lot of people will get out of it is how that moment changes the entire makeup of our universe within a split second. And it’s that moment that launches our entire season 7 into that direction.”

In case you missed it like we did the first time, check out that ONE word again: “deaths.”

That’s right. Deaths. Plural. Could this mean that Negan is going to bash in two people’s heads?! Is that the big reveal that’s so worth the wait??

The producer didn’t give a clue as to who it might be, but since it’s a pair, fans are speculating that we could finally see the end of post-apocalyptic relationship goal couple Maggie and Glenn (Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun).

But don’t be fooled, there are still plenty of other heads that could technically still be on the chopping block since anything is possible! Those potential victims include includes Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), or Aaron (Ross Marquand)

With this new little bit of info, who do YOU think will bite the dust in the season seven premiere?!

Make sure you mark your calendars for October 23 when TWD returns on AMC at 9 PM EST on AMC!
