Time to pump in some fresh blood!

Last month, Lorne Michaels made the surprising decision to not renew the contracts of two of Saturday Night Live‘s veteran cast members — Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah.

But like always, the aftermath of the brutal cuts comes with the addition of new faces on the NBC sketch series.

And this batch of newbies particularly excites us, because the long-running series finally added a Latina cast member!

America’s Got Talent standout Melissa Villasenor is one of the three new featured players to debut on SNL‘s Season 42 premiere!

The LA-based standup and master impressionist joins the cast with Mikey Day (above, right), a writer on the show since 2013. Day was also in the cast for Wild N’ Out, and currently serves as head writer and cast member for NBC‘s Maya and Marty!

Third to join the cast is Alex Moffat (above, left), who is an alum of Chicago improv schools iO and The Second City.

We’re sure gonna miss Killam and Pharoah, but there will sure be plenty more laughs (and impressions!) to come with these talented newbies!

Watch the Season 42 premiere of SNL on October 1!
