There’s nothing like hearing a Disney song performed by the OG cast member!
During the 25th anniversary screening of Beauty and the Beast on Sunday, composer Alan Menken blessed audiences by playing a medley of hits.
But the most memorable moment of the night was when Angela Lansbury surprised the crowd with a performance of the movie’s title song!
The 90-year-old actress, who voiced Mrs. Potts in the 1991 film, took the stage at New York’s Lincoln Center to sing Beauty and the Beast live for the first time in almost two decades — talk about a tale as old as time!
In addition to her soothing vocals, Lansbury even added the beloved dialogue at the end of the performance — reminding Chip to “run along again to the cupboard.”
AH-Mazing! Ch-ch-check out the nostalgic performance (below)!
