Canadian Company’s Twitter Account Takes A Hilarious, Vulgar, & Absurd Turn Thanks To Automated Name Bot!

This just goes to show that the Internet is once again the most bizarre place on Earth.

A consulting company called ORTECH has a Twitter account with nearly 12,000 followers, linked it to an automated bot that greets each new follower with a special tweet with the person’s name when the user hits ‘follow.’

Sounds polite, and nice, and not at all controversial, right?! Well… it was only a matter of time until the Internet ruined it!!

A few hours ago, somebody figured out the bot was automated, and so if a Twitter user were to change their display name, and follow the @ORTECHCanada account, hilarity (and in some cases horribleness) would ensure.

Here’s the first tweet that set off a MASSIVE response from the darkest corners of the ‘Net (below):

Oh no. Is this… did they… are they… Oh no.

This is going to be bad. REAL Bad.

Just watch all the tweets that came through the company’s automated Twitter (below), ranging from funny and clever, to juvenile and graphic:

Harambe, noooo!!!!!

Finally, thankfully, the account’s owners deleted all the absurd tweets — and presumably, the automated name bot will maybe no longer be a thing??

It sure seems that way, at least (below):

Oh, well. It was fun (and awful) while it lasted!!
