There are no words.
An ex-con was arrested on Wednesday morning after police found four children had been killed in his Detroit home.
Gregory V. Green called 911 and told responders he had killed his entire family after shooting the two teenage victims, 17-year-old Kara Allen and 19-year-old Chadney Allen, execution style.
His daughters Kaleigh and Koi Green, ages 4 and 5, died by asphyxiation in a car using exhaust from a hose hooked up to the tailpipe.
Police say the girls’ bodies had been moved into their beds, and found the mother had been shot and stabbed on the scene. Faith Green was rushed to the hospital where she remains in stable condition.
The 49-year-old father had spent 17 years in prison for the 1991 stabbing death of his pregnant wife, in which he pleaded no contest to second-degree murder.
According to officials, the latest harrowing incident “stemmed from a domestic violence-related incident.” Last month, Faith filed for divorce after six years of marriage, citing a “breakdown in the marriage relationship.”
This is apparently what caused Green to slay his two daughters he had with Faith, as well as the older teens who were Faith’s children from a previous relationship. The mother was the only survivor.
Currently being held at the Dearborn Heights Police Department, Green has not yet entered a plea.
We can’t imagine the pain and heartbreak the mother is going through right now. Our hearts go out to her and the family’s loved ones at this devastating time.
