Wait, isn’t Halloween still a month away?!
In a seriously creepy story out of Austria, authorities report a woman was caught at the city’s Graz airport with a suitcase containing her husband’s ENTRAILS.
According to police, a woman traveling from Morocco to Austria on September 8 was quickly detained following the discovery of a four-inch piece of her late husband’s intestine neatly packaged in two separate containers.
Upon further questioning, cops learned the woman suspected her late husband was poisoned by his family during a trip to visit relatives. Per the widow’s account, her in-laws did NOT approve of the couple’s marriage and she suspects this was the motivation for the alleged murder.
To make matters even more crazy (seriously, Shonda Rhimes couldn’t even make this sh*t up!), a local Moroccan doctor confirmed the woman’s suspicions and suggested the intestine should be brought back to Austria for further inspection.
The organ is now being tested at a pathology institute in Graz.
As for the pathologist in charge of the investigation, Gerald H├â┬╢fler, he believes the woman’s wild story thanks to the Moroccan doctor’s careful packaging of the entrails.
In a statement to the New York Times, Gerald noted:
“I would imagine that it was done by a pathologist. It was absolutely secure, triple wrapped, according to European Union norms.”
Wow! It sounds like this poor lady was telling the truth!
Luckily for the woman, police also believed her story and authorities in Austria confirm the widow broke no laws by bringing the intestine into the country.
… uh, all’s well that ends well?
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as this wild story progresses!
