There’s nothing wrong with a few bad apples├óΓé¼┬ª except when those apples are using deadly excessive force.
That’s what John Oliver made clear on Last Week Tonight when getting real on the subject of police accountability.
On Sunday’s episode, the comedian went off on how bad cops are usually just brushed off as a “few bad apples” by police backers after each questionable shooting… which is a huge problem!
Oliver explored why police were rarely held accountable for rotten behavior, like when a Baltimore detective was threatened and ostracized by his department after reporting two fellow officers for using alleged excessive force.
The political commentator then spoke on what this cavalier attitude was doing to society — like how in some schools, teens are being given lessons in how to interact with police so they don’t get shot!

Speaking of bad apples… Oliver also reamed Donald Trump once again, this time for his delusional comments during the presidential debate!
The HBO host slammed the Republican nominee’s “winning temperament,” his ongoing beef with former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, and his late night tweeting in which he urged Americans to watch a sex tape.
So much rotten behavior to choose from!
