Being a high-profile star isn’t cheap…
On Sunday, Kim Kardashian made headlines around the world when she was robbed at gunpoint inside of her and Kanye West‘s Paris residence. While the KUWTK star was not physically harmed, the criminals walked away with over $10 million worth of jewelry.
Since the incident, the “emotionally damaged” social media personality is understandably amping up her security. Although no expense should be sparred when it comes to safety, the extra bodyguards will cost the West family a pretty penny.
According to sources, a bodyguard can charge $70 to $125 an hour.
Aaron Jackson — the president of Finest Execution Protection — says:
“Cost per hour varies on the client and the complexity of the assignment as well as the potential threat level.”
Because Kim is such a well-known celebrity, companies may charge her more for protection.
“Celebrities are charged more than, say, a hedge fund guy. That’s a wealthy client and then there’s a public figure. Kim is a very, very public figure. Also, there’s now that added threat level. I would say she’d be charged around $150 an hour per security guard.”
On Monday, after Miz Kardashian reunited with her husband in New York, around 30 bodyguards were seen surrounding their residence. If paid at premium price, that would total around $100,000.
However, we are pretty sure the Kardashians will pay any cost to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their family.
