Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt├óΓé¼Γäós Kids In Therapy As They Cope With Their Parents’ Split: ├óΓé¼╦£It├óΓé¼Γäós Been A Traumatic Situation├óΓé¼Γäó

The kids are their top priority!

While Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the middle of a pretty dramatic divorce, the two can still agree on one thing: their kids are the number one concern!

As we previously reported, the actress is looking to get sole custody of all six kids while her estranged husband wants shared custody. In a temporary agreement recommended by the Department of Children and Family Services, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, will live with Angie until October 20 and Brad can have visitation.

A source close to the 52-year-old clarified to Us Weekly it’s a “parenting plan” and not a custody agreement, with another source explaining how it’s “a logistical thing”:

“They have six kids and want things to be as uninterrupted as possible. It didn’t make sense, all of a sudden, for the kids to have two different households. You don’t just immediately create a new world for those children.”

Makes sense.

As we already know, the “parenting plan” was a recommendation made by the Los Angeles DCFS, which the two agreed to after nailing down the conditions, including:

– Angelina gets full physical custody of the 6 kids.

├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ Brad gets visitation, with strings attached. The initial visit is with a therapist present and the therapist then has the power to either allow Brad subsequent unmonitored visits or insist on being present whenever he’s around the kids.

– Brad is subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

– Brad and Angelina will each submit to individual counseling. In addition, Brad, Angelina and the kids will undergo family counseling together.

And since The Big Short star is currently under investigation by the FBI and DCFS after an alleged incident on a private plane less than a month ago, a pal revealed:

“[Brad] will cooperate in any way he can to see the kids. By agreeing to this, he can see them, which is what he wanted.”

According to a friend close to Jolie, the starlet’s lawyers feel a custody battle wouldn’t be in the best interest of the kiddos:

“Her legal team worked with her temper so they could reach an agreement for the sake of the kids.”

Brad’s friend continued to dish the star “was dealing with this all day, always on the phone with his lawyers,” while his ex was doing the same in order for them to reach this temporary agreement, according to her pal.

An insider has also since divulged the dad of six’s first test came back negative.

Well, that’s good, especially as a confidante revealed:

“People from both sides hope that the two sides will reach a longer-term agreement on their own. The hope is that this period of time will lead them to being able to resolve things without the involvement of the courts.”

Sounds like that would be best for their children, especially as a source spilled to People how Brangelina’s surprising split lead to them starting therapy:

“It’s been a traumatic situation.”

With Angie living with the kids full time, an insider explained:

“She did what she felt she had to do to protect the safety of the kids.”

Meanwhile, Pitt “has been absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the events of the past several weeks, both in terms of how those events have been wrongfully portrayed and how they have threatened to jeopardize his family’s ability to heal and move forward.”

We can’t imagine it’s been easy for either side! A Brangelina source even admitted the kids have been feeling it:

“They didn’t leave the rental house for days. It was hard for all of them. They are used to more activities and more entertainment so it’s difficult for them to just stay at the house. The younger kids don’t understand what’s going on.”

In the end, a close pal of the star insists:

“Brad loves his children more than anything in this world, and they matter more than anything else to him. He will do whatever it takes to be with them, now and always.”

Well, he only has a few more weeks before the DCFS re-evaluates the situation.

We’ll continue to keep you updated!
