The controversial hotel concierge involved in Kim Kardashian West‘s Paris robbery has broken his silence.
As you know, the 40-year-old staff member was reportedly held at gunpoint and forced to lead the robbers up to the reality TV star’s room, where millions of dollars in jewels were stolen. During the armed attack, KKW reportedly asked the concierge, “Are we gonna die?” — to which he calmly responded, “I don’t know.”
The gatekeeper’s reportedly “calm” behavior has raised a lot of speculation, and now he’s defending himself against claims circulating in the media that he’s somehow involved in the heist.
In an open letter to the 35-year-old published in Closer magazine, he said:
“Dear Kim: When you feel the cold steel of a gun at your neck, it is the moment when remaining calm can mean the difference of life or death, both our lives. I hope you are feeling better.”
We’re sure it was a scary situation for him, too!
Meanwhile, further details have come out about Kimmy’s stolen 20-carat emerald cut stone and the thieves who could’ve snatched it.
Additionally, the outlet clears up that there were a total of 13 items taken, with a total value of $5.6 million — not the initial reported $9-11 million.
Still a sh*t ton, but it’s clear the ring was the prized piece.
We’ll obviously keep you updated as we learn more.
