Shailene Woodley is a force to be reckoned with!
As we reported earlier, the 24-year-old was arrested Monday for protesting the building of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Sioux County, North Dakota, where she and about 100 others had gathered to hopefully prevent the construction from taking place.
Shailene was recording the entire ordeal for about an hour and managed to capture her own arrest on video!
When asked why she’s the sole person being arrested, police tell the actress that she was identified. So basically she was specifically targeted for being famous, which is ridiculous but also not surprising.
In the clip, Shailene speaks to her Facebook followers as the arrest is happening:
“I’m being arrested. Because I was trespassing like everyone else but as soon as you guys asked me to leave I left…I was down there with everybody else. As soon as they came I left. It’s because I’m well known. It’s because I have 40,000 people watching.”
Watch the whole thing go down in the last five minutes of the video (below):
Stay strong, girl!
