Billy Bush should’ve kept his big mouth shut!
While Bush and Trump’s disgusting remarks about women are inexcusable, this entire controversy begs the question: how did Access Hollywood find the tape in the first place??
According to sources, during the Rio Olympics in August, Billy told NBC staffers at a party that there was a “tape of Trump being a real dog.” Not surprisingly, the staff ended up finding the tape, leading to his demise.
However, did execs know about the vulgar audio?? There are conflicting reports.
An insider told Page Six that Billy did NOT tell network brass, which could violate the morality clause in his contract.
“If [Billy] knew about the tape, and remembered the full extent of such an explosive conversation with a presidential candidate and didn’t disclose that to NBC News, that is a very, very serious problem.”
On the flip side, TMZ said Access Hollywood execs knew about the tape prior to the leak yet failed to discipline him. It’s important to note that AH is an NBC property.
TMZ is unsure whether Billy told NBC News execs, but according to insiders, Billy was “very open” about the tape’s existence.
To make matters worse, the network is investigating whether Billy sexually harassed any coworkers during his time of employment. They are encouraging female employees to come forward “with any concerns about Bush, his inappropriate behavior or frat-boy mentality.”
Not a good week for BB!
