Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? Premiere Gets ‘Uncomfortable’ As The Couple Watches JoJo Fletcher’s Bachelorette Finale

Who could’ve guessed telling two women you love them would have negative side effects?

Ben Higgins did such a good job of capturing America’s hearts on The Bachelor that Disney simply couldn’t lose him after a single season on the ABC show.

That’s why the House of Mouse offered the software salesman and his winner Lauren Bushnell their very own show on Freeform — and it finally premiered on Tuesday!

Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?‘s debut was almost exclusively a recap of the titular twosome’s fairy tale love story… including the finale where Lauren barely beat out JoJo Fletcher!

Of course, JoJo went on to find “love” with Jordan Rodgers on the very next season of The Bachelorette, but that doesn’t mean Lauren is completely okay with socializing with her fianc├â┬⌐’s ex.

In fact, when Ben suggested a double date with JoJordan following their After the Final Rose special, Lauren even admitted she was “uncomfortable” with the idea of a double date, saying:

“I have had a friendship with JoJo outside of you and I — since before you and I were engaged, and that friendship remains intact. The place where I get uncomfortable is when it’s you, me, and JoJo, because it just takes me back to that day. That was really hurtful for me, and it’s not JoJo’s fault and it’s not your fault… I just don’t know what kind of advice I would offer her.”

Seems pretty fair to us.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a week to see how the awkward dinner goes down — but we just know it’s gonna make for some good TV!

And while the premiere as a whole was bit of a wash, at least we got a surprise cameo from America’s favorite twins…
