Intruder At Miranda Kerr’s Malibu Mansion Now In Critical Condition After Being Shot In The Head

This story is so unnerving.

As we reported last night, a man hopped the fence at Miranda Kerr‘s Malibu home and was confronted by a security guard, eventually stabbing the guard in the eye before being detained.

Well now, we’ve learned that not only did the guard manage to shoot the intruder, too, but that the suspect is now in critical condition after being shot multiple times — including at least once in the head.

According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, things got scary very, very quickly after the suspect scaled a wall on the property:

“Then a fight ensued, and [he allegedly] produced a knife and attempted to slash the security guard in the face.”

The security guard did as he was trained in a life threatening situation like that, though, and neutralized the intruder:

“The security guard drew a weapon and fired three to four rounds, hitting the suspect in the face and upper torso area.”

Now, even though both men are expected to survive, the suspect is in critical condition in the hospital — so this is certainly no small incident.

A neighbor was shocked about the altercation, telling reporters:

“It’s kind of a crazy thing to happen out here in Malibu. I guess it happens everywhere, but we just don’t ever have it happen in our neighborhood.”

Thankfully, Kerr was not home at the time of the incident. In fact, only the suspect and that one guard were on the property at the time.

This could have been much, much worse.

But it was also obviously already bad enough — our thoughts are prayers are with the guard on a quick recovery, and with Miranda on finding some peace and quiet after such a scary situation taking place at her home!
