Cathronia White’s Mom Submits Jim Carrey’s Alleged STD Test As Evidence For Wrongful Death Lawsuit, While The Actor Posts Heartfelt Message About Facing Challenges

Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey is remaining positive despite some not-so-good news today.

As we’ve reported, the 54-year-old has been slapped with two wrongful death lawsuits over the suicide of his former girlfriend Cathronia White.

Both Cat’s estranged husband Mark Burton and mother Brigid Sweetman have accused The Mask actor of giving Cathronia sexually transmitted diseases and providing the drugs Cat used to end her life.

In a recent development on Thursday, Sweetman has submitted evidence to the court that reportedly proves the actor knew and intentionally lied about having STDs — namely, Hepatitis A, Herpes I and II, and Chlamydia.

Sweetman said in a statement:

“These documents show that Jim Carrey has lied to the media, the public, and the court. Carrey has now been shown for what he is — a dishonest Hollywood celebrity who thinks he can say anything and fool people just because he is famous. I am going to make sure that the world learns the truth about what Jim Carrey has done and the many lies he has told about my daughter, me, and our family.”

The test dated on January 28, 2013 plays a huge role in the case as Jim and Cat spent an intimate Valentine’s Day together just a couple of weeks afterward.

Attorney Michael Avenatti wrote in the declaration:

“Unbeknownst to Ms. White at the time, Carrey underwent a blood test for STDs on January 28, 2013 at the lab Quest Diagnostics under the false name ‘Jose Lopez.’ The results, which were reported to Carrey on or about January 31, 2013, under specimen [redacted], show that Mr. Carrey tested positive for Hepatitis A, HSV (Herpes) I and II, and Chlamydia.”

Oof.

Carrey’s camp has not immediately responded to the new filing, but his attorney Martin Singer has previously called the STD claim a “desperate” and “bogus” tactic.

Meanwhile, the Dumb & Dumber star took to Twitter on Thursday with an inspiring message about overcoming challenges:
