We’re SO curious to see how this plays out on season nine of Real Housewives of Atlanta!

On Tuesday, Cynthia Bailey visited The Real to chat about her recent divorce from Peter Thomas and how their drama will unfold on the show. The couple confirmed they were separating after five years of marriage back in May.

While fans already knew things haven’t been okay in the pair’s marriage for a while, this will be the first time viewers will be able to see the pair navigate the trials and tribulations of divorce.

Speaking on the awkward situation of going through a breakup on camera, Bailey explained:

“So yes, you will see it play out. And, it’s kind of hard because we got married on the show ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ we’re actually the only couple who got married on The Real Housewives of Atlanta ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and to have to go through a divorce on the show is not easy, but I think the only thing more tragic than divorce is being in something that’s not working anymore.”

Wow, we almost forgot C.B. and Peter got hitched on TV! At least the reality star isn’t the only cast member to have gone through a split on the show… she’s definitely not alone in that regard!

As for what role the cameras played in their relationship, the model admits the situation is a double-edged sword:

“Peter and I, we’ve always been very transparent in our relationship and it’s worked for and against us at the same time. Just being on the show, I think it’s been important for us to just really keep it real, like you guys do.”

Well, we respect the mogul’s honesty! All you can do is try to be as authentic as possible, right?

Overall, it will be interesting to see how things go when the show comes back November 6. As of now, the two are still very friendly with each other — Thomas still even promotes Cynthia’s eyewear line on social media!
