It’s always horrible to watch a kid getting bullied at school… especially when that bully is the parent of another student!

That was the case last week when a Washington D.C. parent was recorded randomly punching a 7-year-old student in the stomach at KIPP DC Spring Academy.

Lena Mclean requested security footage from the school after her son John revealed he was assaulted by the parent of a fellow student.

The elementary student told local press:

“I was in the hallway, the day was on Wednesday and then somebody punched me in my stomach. It made my stomach real painful.”

In the footage, the parent can be seen striking John in the stomach as he nonchalantly walks out the building while the child bends over in pain.

Lena isn’t sure what prompted the man to hurt her boy, as she’s had positive interactions with the fellow parent a few times in the past.

She said:

“You watched my son on that ground and you didn’t do nothing…and all you could say to me is you was playing├óΓé¼┬ª You don’t bully a child, you don’t torment a child. I wouldn’t do that to you. I wouldn’t do that to none of your kids.”

We don’t think any normal parent would!

A police report was filed and DC officials are investigating the incident. The parent in the video has not been arrested, though Mclean says she’ll feel much better “when he is locked up.”

Do YOU think the parent should be behind bars? Watch the footage for yourself (below)!
