So we weren’t surprised when it was reported the TV personality would be officially departing the daytime talk show — but we were completely SHOCKED to learn what she’ll be up to next!
According to Variety, Raven is set to begin developing a spinoff off├óΓé¼┬ª wait for it├óΓé¼┬ª That’s So Raven!
No, you didn’t just have a false premonition. The actress will reportedly relocate from NYC to Los Angeles for the Disney Channel spin off, which she’s set to star and serve as an executive producer!
The 30-year-old will be reprising her role as the psychic Raven Baxter, who was last seen as a teenager on the series that ran on DC from 2003 to 2007.
Raven broke the news to The View audience on Thursday, saying:
“I’m excited and sad, but mostly excited… There’s no title yet, but I’m calling it That’s So Raven 2. It’s Raven Baxter. It’s still me. But I am a mother this time. I’m going to be a single mother raising two kids, and one of them learns that she has visions.”
So the show will follow in the successful footsteps of Girl Meets World and Fuller House! What a great idea!
Execs at the Mini Mouse House don’t need to be psychic to predict this spinoff will be a hit, as VP of programming Adam Bonnett has high hopes for the series, saying:
“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”
We mean, who DOESN’T want to see Raven Baxter raising her kids by dressing up as different wacky characters and saying things like, “Ya nasties!”?
Sounds AH-Mazing! And just SO her!
