Hilary Duff Apologizes For Offensive Halloween Costume: ‘It Was Not Properly Thought Through’

It sure seems like we go through this every year right around Halloween

As we documented earlier today, Hilary Duff and her boyfriend/trainer Jason Walsh have been taking some heat for wearing offensive pilgrim-Indian themed costumes to the Casamigos Tequila Halloween Party.

Amid hours of Twitter controversy, though, the former Disney star finally got around to apologizing for what the pair wore, including Walsh’s stunningly insensitive painted red face!

Atoning for the mistake, Duff wrote on the social network (below):

She obviously put a few days’ thought into the costume, as evidenced by an Instagram post from earlier this week where she teased her own costume (below):

She thought it through for at least a couple days…

And obviously the final product is just truly indefensible, especially as far as her boyfriend’s costume is concerned (below):

But at least she apologized!! We can all be thankful for that.
