Well, stranger things have happened.
According to People Magazine, Tyga has made a payment towards his $280K debt to jeweler Jason Arasheben. The development comes on the heels of a judge issuing an arrest warrant for the rapper over the case back in August.
Per the star’s lawyer Shawn Holley, a “substantial payment” has been made in an effort to resolve the financial mess. The lawyer also revealed Tyga will pay off the full balance before his next court date on November 17.
Wow! It’s shocking to hear the 26-year-old is being responsible… that’s a rarity for him!
Jason’s team went on to add:
“Tyga did make significant payments towards his $280,000 obligation. Today, in court, a representation was made that the remaining balance of the obligation will be satisfied prior to next scheduled hearing on Nov. 17. Our client is gratified that, notwithstanding a significant delay, Tyga is finally making good on his obligation.”
Phew, this must be a big relief for Kylie Jenner. It’s hard to have your man chased down by creditors on the daily… it’s just not a good look.
