Celebrity chef Michael Chiarello is busted!
The Food Network regular was revealed to be arrested in Napa County, California over suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
The Bottega Ristorante owner was stopped in his Porsche by a police officer at 3:27 a.m., booked, and then released only a few hours later after making his $5,000 bail.
Interestingly enough, this all comes just two days after a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against the 54-year-old reached a settlement.
In case you didn’t know, two of his former employees sued the chef because of the “hostile, sexually charged and abusive” environment in his restaurant.
Now, Michael can focus all his attention on his latest scandal. His rep shared a statement with People, saying:
“Although he is embarrassed and apologizes to his family, friends and business colleagues about this occurrence, he intends to vigorously challenge the misdemeanor charges filed against him.”
We’ll keep you updated with what happens next.
