Maybe Donald Trump should reconsider his claim that his supporters aren’t violent.

On November 5, a transgender woman and veteran under the alias of “Elle” woke up to a terrifying image in her driveway. The Tennessee resident, who served eight years in the U.S. Army, was horrified to find that her truck had been burned and spray painted with the words “Trump”.

To make matters even more disturbing, the woman’s 3-year-old son was asleep inside the house when the horrifying incident occurred. Sadly, Elle reveals her toddler is still terrified.

Reliving the harrowing ordeal, the vet revealed:

“Most of (the paint) got burned off, but one of the police officers pointed out that it said ‘Trump’ on the hood and the back. It just breaks my heart every time I walk past the driveway.”

So sick. We can’t imagine the fear Elle felt that night, especially since she was diagnosed with PTSD following her stint in the Iraq war.

How incredibly heinous.

As for why Elle believes she was targeted, she admits to expressing anti-Drumpf views on social media. She also credits her transgender identity as a motivating factor, so police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

Yikes. All we can hope is that people begin to unify following the election results — this hateful divide is really hurting our country!

Summing up her thoughts on the crime, the veteran pleaded:

“I’m just trying to live my life. I wouldn’t hurt anyone.”

Our thoughts go out to Elle and her family during this difficult time.
