Marine With Double Arm Transplant After Losing All Four Limbs Can’t WAIT To Hold His Fianc├â┬⌐e├óΓé¼Γäós Hand — Get The Full Story!

This is exactly the kind of positivity we need right now!

Six years ago, Marine Sgt. John Peck lost his arms and legs in an explosion in Afghanistan.

However, thanks to a double arm transplant — and the love of a good woman — Peck has found a new reason to keep living!

After the soldier lost his limbs, he admitted he nearly committed suicide one morning by throwing himself down a flight of stairs.

Thankfully, Mr. Peck spotted a fellow double amputee through his window one day and observed the man holding his daughter’s hand and hugging his wife! The now-31-year-old used that man as motivation for finding peace and happiness in his own life, as he dished to PEOPLE:

“I thought, ├óΓé¼╦£If that guy can find happiness and somebody to spend his life with, then so can I.'”

Well, John did JUST that when met his fianc├â┬⌐e, Jessica Parker, on… and the couple now plans to marry next year! Awww!

But the military man’s path to happiness hasn’t been easy as he still remembers the pain and heartache of losing his limbs after stepping on an explosive device overseas:

“I was flung through the air and felt something kick me really hard in the head. I believe it was one of my legs.”

After flying home to Walter Redd Hospital, the vet’s mother, Lisa Peck, who happened to be a nurse, broke the bad news to her son as the wounded man recalled:

“My mom told me as calmly as she could that it was bad. At first, I was very pissed off at the world. I felt alone and I didn’t see much hope there. I’d pretty much decided to end it all.”

It wasn’t until after John witnessed the other amputee that he FINALLY agreed to physical and psychological therapy.

Although, things weren’t always easy…

“It was tough ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ women would read my profile and my messages, but wouldn’t respond when they saw that I was a quadriplegic. They wanted absolutely nothing to do with me.”

But then came Jessica, who seems PERFECT for the 31-year-old as she explained her initial reaction:

“He seemed so honest and open ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I was really intrigued. His profile contained a lot of puns ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ stuff like, ├óΓé¼╦£I’m a blast to be around.’ He made me laugh, so I thought, ├óΓé¼╦£Why not?’ “

While John initially thought the message might be a hoax, the adorable couple met up for drinks and “ended up talking all night.” After months of dating, Jessica moved in with her main man and then something AH-Mazing happened!

In August, after two years of being on a transplant waitlist, Peck was approved for transplants and went under for surgery on August 19! Adorably, Parker was the first face the marine saw when he woke up as he recalled:

“It was an emotional moment. I’d been on the waiting list for the transplant for almost two years. More than anything, I wanted to hold Jessica’s hand.”

The best news is that the veteran has already started to regain some slight sensations in his arms and it was only back on September 13 — the wounded man’s b-day — that he asked his GF to marry him!

Oh, and the story is even cuter than you’d imagined:

“She loves penguins and had told me the story about the emperor penguin and how once he’s finds a mate, he’ll give her a smooth pebble. If the female accepts the stone, they’re soulmates for life. So I decided to ask her to marry me at an aquarium and give her a stone with the ring.”

The bride to be is pretty happy too as she couldn’t stop gushing about her future husband:

“John makes everyone around him smile. He never gives up. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle and hold his hand.”

And that’s EXACTLY what the brunette beauty will get because John’s decided they won’t get married until about a year from now when the nerves in his arms are supposed to be close to fully functioning!

We’re guessing there’s going to be a big ol’ happily ever after, as the amputee admitted:

“With Jessica, I intend to make the most of each and every moment.”

Cutest. Thing. EVER!

Congratulations, John & Jessica!!!
