Megyn Kelly may be a powerhouse news anchor now, but that wasn’t always the case.
Which is why the Fox News correspondent had such a tumultuous relationship with former CEO Roger Ailes during her first year at the cable news network.
The 45-year-old stopped by Good Morning America on Tuesday to promote her new book Settle for More, in which she detailed the disgusting incidents in which Ailes tried to kiss her against her will.
Kelly didn’t reveal her encounters with Ailes until former colleague Gretchen Carlson accused the Fox News co-founder of sexual harassment earlier this year. And while she admitted her own experience with Ailes was just as harrowing, Kelly confessed to having “nine years of a healthy, working relationship” after reporting her boss to the company!
Sitting down with George Stephanopoulos, she said:
“I wrestled with what to do, because I wasn’t sure what the truth was about Roger. I knew my own experience, but he and I had gone on to have nine years of a healthy, working relationship.”
While it was quite clear Ailes had the hots for her, Kelly apparently had no idea her boss was also making advances at every other leggy blonde who worked at the news company.
“In my mind I had attributed it to, he was interested in me. He was having a marital difficulty; perhaps he was just interested in having an extramarital affair. It culminated in a physical attempt to be with me, which I rejected in his office and then I contacted a lawyer. He tried to kiss me three times.”
Ailes, for the record, has denied all of Kelly’s allegations.
Speaking of horny rich dudes with unlimited power, Kelly also detailed her recent meeting with President-elect Donald Trump, in which the former election nemeses kissed (figuratively, we hope) and made up.
Ch-ch-check out a clip of the interview (below) to hear what Kelly had to say about the meeting!
