Here’s how to celebrate Santa Claus without looking like him!
Recently, Khloé Kardashian wrote a blog post on her website where she reveals how you can throw a healthier dinner party!
The KUWTK star wrote:
“You dolls know I’m all about a little indulging, especially during the holidays. But when you’re on that health grind, dinner parties can be tough. If you’re the hostess, I don’t think you have to sacrifice your diet for pleasing your guests. This is what I would make for a lighter holiday dinner party! Don’t worry├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥dessert is still allowed, LOL.”
Instead of serving cheese as an appetizer, KoKo recommends crudités and hummus!
“Everyone likes to munch on something when they first arrive. While cheese plates can be an easy option, hummus served with pita and raw veggies will hit the spot├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥without the high calories and fat content.”
For salad, going Greek is way less caloric than Caesar.
“Trade out your traditional Caesar salad with a Greek salad instead. It’s packed with more veggies and, while it still contains cheese, it has a much lighter dressing.”
When it comes to the entree, say no to ham and say yes to chicken kabobs!
“Swap ham for less salty and leaner chicken breast kabobs. I don’t eat any pork, anyway, so I always serve poultry instead.”
Instead of mashed potatoes, serve roasted sweet potato hash.
“Potatoes tend to be a staple at dinner parties, especially during the holiday season. If you’re trying to cut calories, make roasted sweet potatoes rather than cream-drenched, mashed white ones.”
Finally, end the meal with dark chocolate covered strawberries instead of chocolate cake.
“Get your chocolate fix (while cutting calories) by serving chocolate-covered strawberries instead of a cake. No one will leave with an unsatisfied sweet tooth!”
Happy eating, y’all!
