This has been the longest final rose ceremony ever.

If you actually thought Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell were going to live happily ever after after watching him propose on The Bachelor a year ago… it turns out you were right!

While their wedding was up in the air for a majority of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?‘s debut outing, Tuesday night’s series season finale finally cleared up any misconceptions about their marriage plans.

We already knew Ben and Lauren B. simultaneously celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties in Sin City back in October — but what we didn’t know was that the wedding wasn’t even back on before they got there!

Luckily for them, Bachelor Nation alums Jared Haibon, Tanner Tolbert, JJ Lane, Amanda Stanton, Ashley Iaconetti, and Haley & Emily Ferguson helped elongate their own 15 minutes of fame by surprising the fickle Freeform couple with a surprise rooftop reunion!

It was there where Ben once and for all confirmed his love for his fiancée, saying:

“I never thought for a second I could live a day without you. Lauren, I’m gonna be your husband. Lauren, you’re gonna be Mrs. Higgins.”

However, Lauren wasn’t about to let him off the hook that easily… questioning:

“Does this mean the wedding is back on?”

Luckily for her, Ben responded with a resounding:

“Of course.”

So romantic.

But we’ll take what we can get…

There’s no word yet on if/when Chris Harrison will actually officiate Ben and Lauren’s TV wedding special… but we’re sure it’s coming!

Although, we wonder how they could have possibly known not to include recent exes Lace Morris and Grant Kemp in the finale despite featuring them the entire rest of the season…

When do U think Ben & Lauren’s wedding special will get the green light??
