Feel better, Amy!
It’s never fun to have plans canceled on you, ESPECIALLY when they involve Amy Schumer! But some of the Trainwreck star’s Australian fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the funny woman!
On Monday, Live Nation announced the hardworking comic would no longer be performing her Australian shows this month — which included stops in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth!
In an official statement, the company lists the reason given for the cancellation as “illness” but isn’t much more specific:
“Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s Australia ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ New Zealand December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness.
The announcement continues:
Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical…
Amy Schumer and Live Nation apologise for any disappointment.”
We hope Amy is able to recover before the holidays!
For anyone who has tickets to the shows, you should expect to receive a refund within 10 days.
As of now, the TV star is still planning on attending her New Year’s Eve gig at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and will finish off her tour with five more comedy shows scheduled in 2017.
