David Bowie may be gone, but his legacy lives on.

That’s because on Monday, it was revealed that the late legend has been nominated for one of the top honors at this year’s BBC Music Awards!

The iconic singer is up for British Artist Of The Year in the wake of his death and posthumous release of his final album, Blackstar.

Adele (who claimed the prize last year), Calvin Harris, Coldplay, and Jess Glynne are also nominated alongside Mr. Bowie.

The announcement comes a month after David’s Blackstar was noticeably snubbed in the ceremony’s Album Of The Year category. Instead, the nominees for that category are Adele, Coldplay, Jeff Lynne‘s Electronic Lights Orchestra, Michael Kiwanuka, and Rick Astley.

Plus, John Legend, Kaiser Chiefs, Emeli Sande, Zara Larsson, Lukas Graham, and BBC Music Introducing Artist Of The Year Izzy Bizu will be performing during the awards show!

The BBC Music Awards will be held on Monday, December 12 at ExCel in London, and will air on BBC One.

Good luck, David!
