Jimmy Kimmel is going to be a dad again!
On Monday evening, the comedian revealed that he and his wife Molly McNearney are expecting their second child together. Awwww!
However, this wasn’t the only bit of good news the late night host confirmed to his Jimmy Kimmel Live! audience. In fact, this pregnancy truth bomb came shortly after Kimmel shared he would be hosting the Oscars in February. It’s a good time to be Jimmy!
The funny man dished to his viewers:
“And also, my wife is hosting a baby inside her body. So that’s exciting. We got the ultrasound, which is weird because you’re spying on the baby … but we asked the technician not to tell us whether we’re having a boy or a girl. Our plan is to let the child decide for itself.”
We think this is an AH-Mazing idea. While joking about their little one’s future moniker, the 49-year-old revealed how he and Molly want to give their next kiddo a gender neutral name. He continued:
“We want that to be a surprise, but I have been trying to think of names that would work for a boy or girl. So far, I’ve come up with two: No. 1, Dyson after the vacuum, or Jelatin with a J. No? That’s exactly what my wife said.”
Oh, Jimmy! As you may recall, the industry vet married the cohead writer from his show back in 2013. The twosome are also parents to their daughter Jane, who has previously made a few cameos on JKL! Not to mention, this new addition will be the NY native’s fourth child altogether as he has two children with ex-wife Gina Maddy, named Kevin and Katherine.
Overall, it appears as though Sarah Silverman‘s ex is floating on cloud nine as he concluded:
“So there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on. Congratulations to me. I’m hosting the Oscars and I had sex. Two things as a teenage boy I never thought would be possible.”
Be sure to ch-ch-check out Jimmy’s full announcement for yourself (below).
So exciting! We’re wishing Jimmy and Molly the best.
