Paris Jackson Gets A Tat Honoring The Dakota Access Pipeline Protesters!

Paris Jackson might be one of the political celeb kids around!

On Wednesday, Paris took to Instagram to show off her latest tattoo. The tat is just one of the MANY pieces of permanent artwork Ms. Jackson has gotten since turning eighteen back in April.

As for that tat’s meaning, the piece is in honor of Dakota Access Pipeline protestors at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota.

While the #NoDAPL movement had a big win on Sunday (President Barack Obama denied a permit needed to complete the controversial oil pipeline), a lot of protesters still feel the fight isn’t over.

According to activists close to the situation, they fear Donald Trump‘s administration will resume construction on the pipeline and this latest victory is a merely a distraction to clear the path for its eventual completion. Let’s just say it’s definitely a plausible theory!

Given the uncertain future, Paris is doing all she can to still support the protestors with this new tat designed by Stephanie Big Eagle, a descendant of the Oceti Sakowin – the Great Sioux Nation. The emblem “embodies the spirit of the NoDAPL movement and can be applied to anyone.”

To make matters even better, each time a tattoo artist inks a person with the design, a portion of the proceeds goes to a GoFundMe account to the “protectors” of Standing Rock.
