What a mess!

In new exclusive documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Brad Pitt gets REALLY candid about his ongoing custody battle with Angelina Jolie. Apparently the actor feels like the “privacy rights” of his six children have been threatened by Angie and her legal team.

As we previously reported, Mr. Pitt was deeply disappointed after a court refused his request to have all custody court docs sealed from the public. It’s unclear why the judge denied the initial request.

Following the legal loss, the star and his lawyer, Lance S. Spiegel, decided to file documents in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles in a last bid attempt to have future docs sealed.

In his fiery argument, Brad ranted:

“[Jolie] and I have been unable to agree on a custody schedule and I intend to file a Request for Orders to establish a schedule unless an agreement is reached. I am extremely concerned that if court records regarding custody are not sealed, information contained therein will cause irreparable damage to our children’s privacy rights. I am respectfully requesting that all custody-related pleadings be sealed.”

Well, it does sound like Pitt has a compelling case…

As for Lance’s take on the situation, he explained that Angie and her team wrongly released “confidential” docs in response to his client’s request for more visitation, explaining:

“‘Based on Ms. Wasser’s email dated December 2, 2016, the unauthorized filing of the October Stipulation was caused by [Jolie’s] reaction to [Pitt’s attorney] having advised her counsel that [Pitt’s] time with the children should be increased. Jolie previously refused to enter into a stipulation for such an order and has instead compromised the children’s privacy by disregarding a confidentiality agreement that was expressly designed to protect the minor children. The minor children should be protected from embarrassment and stigma resulting from public access to information concerning their emotional status and their relationships with their parents.”

Damn… shots fired!

To make matters even more intense, Brad’s legal team also included the testimony of psychologist Philip M. Stahl, who argued that ‘children are harmed when exposed to their parent’s conflict and adult derails of the divorce”.

On the flip side of this drama, Angelina’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, slammed the celeb for forcing them into a January court hearing to discuss custody, stating:

“We have repeatedly attempted to avoid any court intervention. Brad’s position has made that impossible.”

Sheesh. We hope both parties will be able to resolve this issue before they head to court next month.

So, whose side are YOU on?
