So sad.

On Tuesday, everyone was caught off guard by Alan Thicke‘s sudden passing, including his social media team.

The Growing Pains star had suffered a fatal heart attack around 11 a.m. while playing hockey with his son Carter. The TV icon was pronounced dead after he arrived at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank around noon PT.

But at 2:18 PT, a tweet was sent out from the actor’s Twitter account — after he had died — promoting his recent cameo in Fuller House.

It read:

Now, it’s important to note that this was most likely a pre-planned post that had been scheduled before the 69-year-old even began to feel chest pains.

And, considering how suddenly the famous father passed, we know Alan’s team had much more important things to think about than his social media activity.

Plus, the news about the Canada native’s death didn’t even get out until hours after the tweet was live.

Regardless, we’re still shocked and saddened by this untimely loss. Our hearts are with everyone affected during this tough time.
