Get the tissues out, people.
As you have probably heard, Alan Thicke passed away at the age of 69 on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack.
Kirk Cameron shared an emotional message from himself and wife Chelsea Noble, who also starred on the show, with a throwback picture of them on set:
I spent Monday through Friday for seven important years with Alan Thicke as my “TV dad.” I’m shocked and truly heartbroken today at the news of his death. Alan was a generous, kind and loving man. I am so blessed to have grown up with him. Chelsea and I send our love and prayers to his family tonight. We will cherish the memories… “sharing the laughter and love.”A photo posted by Kirk Cameron (@kirkcameronofficial) on Dec 13, 2016 at 9:56pm PST
The Canadian’s former TV wife Joanna Kerns also took to social media to speak out about the loss, writing:
Ashley Johnson AKA Chrissy Seaver posted a touching, but since-deleted message to Twitter, along with a throwback pic. She captioned it with a quote from Washington Irving:
“There is a sacredness in tears…They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”
Our thoughts continue to be with Alan’s family and loved ones! He is missed.
