Yet another reason to take Lyft?

A Michigan Uber driver has been charged after allegedly stabbing a passenger multiple times because he felt the man did not respect his vehicle.

On Saturday afternoon, Bloomfield Township Police Department responded to a call stating someone had been stabbed during a fight in the shopping center parking lot in a suburb of Detroit.

According to the Detroit Free Press, officers found two men fighting in the back seat of a 2012 Honda Civic and discovered a 49-year-old passenger had multiple stab wounds to his chest, back, and face.

23-year-old driver Jacob Matthew Allemon (pictured above) was arrested immediately.

Police said the victim and his wife, who are not being identified, had requested an Uber pickup for a ride home from a holiday party — and Allemon had accepted the request.

When the victim tapped on the car’s window to alert the driver they were entering, Allemon reportedly felt his vehicle was being disrespected because of the tapping.

The driver drove for about a mile before pulling into the shopping center parking lot and ordered the passenger out of the car. The man allegedly asked if he and his wife could wait for another Uber car due to an approaching snowstorm.

The two men began to fight, and Allemon stabbed the passenger multiple times — fortunately, the victim was able to disarm the attacker and restrain him until officers arrived.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and released the next day.

Allemon was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. He was given a $250,000 bond as he awaits his next court date.

Stay safe out there, travelers!
