One of the most shocking shows week after week is easily ├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣Leah Remini‘s Scientology and the Aftermath, and this week there was no shortage of jaw dropping claims!

In previous episodes, we’ve heard various alleged former members of the Church of Scientology speak out against the cult organization regarding their abuse and how they spy on people. But if this week’s episode is 100% true, Scientology also makes women get abortions!

The King of Queens star and her cohost Mike Rinder, who is also a former Scientologist, sat down with Marc and Claire Henley who once belonged to the Sea Organization.

During Leah’s chat with the couple, Marc, who “oversaw all aspects of the Scientology’s propaganda machine” revealed the religion exaggerates statistics it tells members and people they’re trying to recruit! Mr. Henley dished:

“It morphs into something more than what it is.├óΓé¼┬ª The events are not a documentary. They are a commercial.”

Claire’s husband went on to talk about events the church holds and its claims it makes in regards to being able to cure drug addition, and help with education and charitable causes saying:

“Literally nobody has ever talked about this before.├óΓé¼┬ª If Scientologists├óΓé¼┬ªsaw this, this would have a greater impact on them than anything else they would see.”

Of course the lies and exaggerations don’t stop there as Scientology’s website claims it’s the “fastest-growing religion” which Marc revealed is actually talking about how much property they own, not their members!

The former Sea Org man dished:

“There’s no more people.├óΓé¼┬ª Their buildings have expanded into more plots of land.”

What’s even more bizarre is Henley also states that the buildings are only meant to help keep the church’s non-profit status and are actually “ghost towns.├óΓé¼┬ª They were not even being used.” SRSLY?!

The most disturbing part of the episode came when Claire shared her story about her involvement with Scientology and how she was forced to get an abortion!

When Miz Henley was just 16, she joined the religion and went to work at the Scientology home base in Hemet, California — a place the woman describes as:

“A heavily guarded property, and a lot of secrecy and a lot of control.├óΓé¼┬ª You’re not allowed to make phone calls without permission or someone listening.├óΓé¼┬ª People would escape frequently.”

While we’ve heard similar claims before, Claire went on to reveal how women at the base were forced to terminate their pregnancies:

“If a woman got pregnant, she would instantly be scheduled to get an abortion.”

The former member explained that the Church believed if a woman were pregnant, it was because they wanted to leave — something they’re obviously not okay with. In fact, Claire even knew people who had “up to six” abortions!

That’s when the story got personal as Marc’s wife said that she was forced to have an abortion. As the woman began to break down, she told Leah:

“Inside, I’m dying. It’s like, worst fear come true. I have three beautiful children who are my life, but it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with it.”

Claire’s children with Marc were all born after the couple left the church.

Speaking of which, Marc also revealed the incident that caused them to FINALLY leave as he explained:

“I made a snide comment.├óΓé¼┬ª He went off. He just started punching me and slugging me and pushed me up to a desk unit.├óΓé¼┬ª The pope of Scientology just beat the sh*t out of me.”

Since the couple left Scientology in 2005, they have contacted authorities about all the abuses they’ve been though saying they went “in depth” in their descriptions. Unfortunately, Claire and Marc lost the lawsuits they’ve filed against the church, but like Remini, they try and spread the word about the dangers of Scientology and let people know about the “forced abortions.”

Even though Leah’s in the spotlight and filming all her investigations, it’s apparently not stopping the church from going after her as she claims she was being followed while filming the most recent episode!

Apparently, two men were carrying folders and filming the show’s host on their phones and after hotel security escorted them away, Miz Remini took pics of one of their license and found out one of them “owns his own private-investigator company.” SCARY!

Of course the Church of Scientology has responded to all of this controversy with their own claim saying:

The Church of Scientology has issued the following statement about the show:

“Leah Remini is doing this show for the money, just as she profited from her book. In addition, she attempted to extort the Church by first demanding $500,000, followed by an additional $1 million, because the Church invoked its First Amendment right to respond to her false claims with the truth. This shows the extent Leah Remini is willing to go to in order to distort the truth about Scientology. What do you think of the most recent claims on Remini’s docuseries?

Don’t forget to watch Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath when it airs on A&E Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
